Jesus is returning - are we prepared?

"People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!” Words of Jesus, Luke 21: 26-28 (NLT)

It's hard not to question what is going on behind the scenes, while most of us experience significant downtime as we battle this new virus. Some even question if this virus is no more virulent than the more common forms of flu that ravage nations year in and year out. Some even question whether this virus was formed in a lab for a more onerous outcome. World Government.

Whilst these may indeed prove to be valid questions, they rarely produce the kind of fruit Jesus said His children should bear.

These questions serve to produce fear, anxiety, panic and mistrust and do little to point to the foremost outcome that we as His disciples have been yearning for, for generations. Christ's ultimate and glorious return!

Most of us will be aware many of these things must to take place before our Father sends Jesus back. Much has been written both in the Bible, but also several expositors since. So, much of what is happening should not be a surprise to those who have been watching and listening.

But, did you know that YOU were born for such a time as this? WE may yet get to witness what generations before us could only hoped to witness, but didn't.

"Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12: 1-2.

We don't have to, and we shouldn't, fear the future, either immediate or distant, if we are found in Christ. This should be a time filled with joy and peace for every true believer in Jesus Christ.

It's our hope of His return in our lifetime!

The only thing we need to fear is whether we will be found in him when he returns. The days of playing church is now over (not that it should have been to start with). Time to sober up and wake up from our slumber. Cast off all those things "that feel so good, it has to be God", and fall to our knees in repentance.

"Therefore God overlooked and disregarded the former ages of ignorance; but now He commands all people everywhere to repent [that is, to change their old way of thinking, to regret their past sins, and to seek God’s purpose for their lives], because He has set a day when He will judge the inhabited world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed and destined for that task, and He has provided credible proof to everyone by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17: 30-31 (AMP)

If you don' have a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus; or you've been playing church with such things as word-faith or prosperity teaching, your ignorance of such things is no longer an excuse. Repent, be baptised and filled with God's wonderful Holy Spirit. Live your life following Jesus commandments and no longer your own fleshly desires. True peace and joy are yours.

Whether this time is His time or not, time is short.
